Description

This item is a public announcement leaflet to inform members of the African American community in Montgomery, Alabama, that "another Negro woman" (Rosa Parks) was arrested while riding the city bus. It urges people not to ride the buses for one day, the following Monday, and to attend a mass meeting at the Holt Street Baptist Church. This leaflet was a shorter version of the original leaflet that was passed out prior to December 5, 1955, and it was found on a city bus stop on Forest Avenue.
